I signed up for a membership at CrossFit to keep myself accountable and try to get into “good shape”. My previous fitness regimen included lots of Zumba and group fitness classes (which I still love), but CrossFit completely changed my perception of health and fitness in a way that no other program has done. The empowerment that comes from weight lifting, the feeling of accomplishment when mastering a new skill, the mental toughness you gain by pushing past your perceived limits, the sense of community and camaraderie that flows outside of the gym and so many other aspects of CrossFit have truly made it life changing. I hope as a new coach I can have a small part in impacting peoples’ lives, just like mine as been impacted. I also hope to add “Dance Party” as an official WOD one day.
