Meet our team
Our coaches are the secret sauce that makes CrossFit Globe Cobre-Valley such an awesome place to be.
Where we started
CrossFit Globe Cobre-Valley started in August of 2016 in a multi-purpose 800 square foot training center with just two coaches. Greg and Kathy knew they wanted to make an impact in a small community by opening a CrossFit gym. They had a few places in mind, but when they stopped through Globe and met with Globe Gym and saw their facility, they knew they had found their home. Through a partnership with the existing Globe Gym training center, CrossFit Globe Cobre Valley was born.
Growing from a handful of members to many more, the gym outgrew the training center within a few years. Through the renovation project of a 2,200 square foot old warehouse, a new facility was available and has been growing since with the addition of a Teens class and a Legends class (70 years or older). Since then, a Boomers class for 60+ was added to accommodate a growing need in Globe for a safe and community driven fitness class for seniors. Now with 8 coaches, CrossFit Globe Cobre-Valley is continuously accomplishing their mission of making a small town into a strong community of fitter and happier athletes.

I am a mother of two and proud grandmother of 2, retired RN, and a 2014 Masters Silver Medalist.
One of my passions is seeing someone walk through the door of our gym having little to no confidence in themselves and after starting CrossFit they are a changed person both physically and mentally. They start to believe in themselves because that is what they are doing on our gym floor every day they show up. Accomplishing what they thought they were incapable of is transforming them into a better version of themselves.

I signed up for a membership at CrossFit to keep myself accountable and try to get into “good shape”. My previous fitness regimen included lots of Zumba and group fitness classes (which I still love), but CrossFit completely changed my perception of health and fitness in a way that no other program has done. The empowerment that comes from weight lifting, the feeling of accomplishment when mastering a new skill, the mental toughness you gain by pushing past your perceived limits, the sense of community and camaraderie that flows outside of the gym and so many other aspects of CrossFit have truly made it life changing. I hope as a new coach I can have a small part in impacting peoples’ lives, just like mine has been impacted.

I am co-owner of CrossFit Globe-Cobre Valley and have been a CrossFit athlete since 2016. I have also owned Globe Gym Fitness Center along with my husband since 2006. I was a fitness instructor at the gym for over 10 years teaching group exercise fitness classes. After falling in love with CrossFit in 2016, I knew that I had to get my certification to be a CrossFit Coach. I obtained my Level 1 CrossFit Certification in 2018.
For many years I have worked in the financial industry and I realized that I have a passion for helping people. I am a real estate broker and have been in the real estate industry for over 16 years. Whether I am helping my clients find their dream home or helping a member accomplish their Personal Record, I am completely honored to be a part of their life journey. I absolutely love helping people to be a better healthier version of themselves.

I would describe myself as someone with a strong love and passion for fitness. I enjoy being active, trying new things and learning. In 2017, I decided to share my passion with others and became a Beachbody Insanity Live Instructor.
I regret not giving CrossFit a chance sooner; the CrossFit approach to fitness and health has completely changed my lifestyle. After gaining the courage to attend a CrossFit class, I was addicted! It was love at first snatch! (Sorry, little CrossFit humor).
But honestly, that courage and one decision has been life changing. I found within me, a new level of confidence, determination and discipline that I carry with me throughout my every day life. This new lifestyle eliminated my struggle with depression and I developed a healthy relationship with myself. No more negativity and self doubt; and now, more than ever, I believe in my body and what I am capable of.
Most importantly, I now have an amazing community that encourages and supports me! I am honored to be part of the CrossFit Globe-Cobre Valley team.

I spent years trying to "stay in shape" I would hit the gym hard for a few months. Then I would get bored and skip a day or two, out of nowhere it had been months since I had worked out. All of that changed when I discovered CrossFit. Everyday is a new challenge, a new workout to conquer. Plus I'm surrounded by a supportive community that not only helps me stay accountable, but actively wants me to succeed. Ever since that day in 2017 I haven't gone more than four days without working out, CrossFit changed my life and I'm just so excited when I get to help change someone else's life when they walk in the door.

I have always loved fitness and exercise but was always intimidated by weight training and “Gym type” environments so I never considered CrossFit at all until I signed my son up for the teens CrossFit class in 2021 to see if it was something HE would enjoy. I attended one class with him and was instantly hooked! What I instantly felt was encouragement, inclusion and positive energy! I am in better shape at 46 years than I was at 25. The methodology of constantly varied workouts keeps my brain and body constantly challenged in such a healthy way. It has helped me mentally, emotionally and physically more than anything I’ve ever done in my life. I love my CrossFit Family and feel honored to be part of something so inspiring and life changing!

My journey into Crossfit began with a "bribe" from my wife! It came in the form of an 8,000 lb. piece of equipment - if I would join Crossfit for 90 days. Since then it has been a daily part of my life. I enjoy the community, the workout and the fitness drink afterwards. I have met so many positive and encouraging individuals in class and at competitions. I feel it is because everyone shares in the preparation, pain and gratification of each workout. I like to say, "We rejoice in our sufferings."
